Wonderfully made
Have found these two videos below would capture a song that speaks against abortion, against Child Trafficking, the great adoption!
"For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be." Psalm 139:13-16
“Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you!

Joy Fruit of the Spirit
Joy Fruit of the Spirit
Joy is certainly not a switch we turn on and off, but rather evidence of a transformation that encompasses the entire person: the mind in its beliefs, the heart in its affections and the will in its choices. Emotions are the out flowing of who we are, and so joy is perhaps the chief barometer of how we are doing. Yet it is not joy itself that we seek, it is simply a measure of how much of Him we have truly found: joy is the barometer of our apprehension of Him.
In this transformation then, do not expect joy to appear by itself; we must remember that joy is a fruit of the Spirit. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance. (Gal 5:22-23a) Notice that the fruit of the Spirit is not expressed in the plural fruits but the singular fruit.
As we grow in likeness to Christ, as we mature in wisdom, in peace, in goodness… joy will naturally be more and more a part of our lives, just like all of the rest of the nature of Christ. This change comes organically and supernaturally as we behold and enjoy Christ, and this practice of beholding Him is actually itself the means by which we are transformed.

In addition, he is part of Big Boy’s Neighborhood on 92.3 iheartradio.
Eric Blake is from Los Angeles, the Southside of Los Angeles. He grew up basically on the streets in what he calls the “hood.”
When Blake became an adult, he realized he did not want to be on the streets anymore.“I was at a point in my life that I needed something new,” Blake said. Blake had never really been outside Los Angeles. He took a trip to the Grand Canyon. It was then that he knew there was a God.
Blake moved to Louisiana and began to work there. One day, Blake was driving around in a car with a radio that did not work. He was praying to God to find him a path to follow that was not on the streets. He hit a bump in the road and his radio started to work.
It was an advertisement for a Def Jam competition. Blake decided to try it out even though he really had not experience in comedy. “My friends always thought I was funny,” Blake said. Blake went to the competition and stood in front of a crowd of around 300 people. His first joke was the last thing he said that someone thought was funny. “I was just talking about things in my life and people were dying laughing,” Blake said. Blake was given $300 that night and the next night.
He left after the second night to tell his wife, who at the time was still his girlfriend, about what had happened. Blake received a call saying he won the competition and had a chance to go back to Los Angeles for the next part of the competition.
However, Blake decided to go on one more time. He bombed it and decided not to go back to Los Angeles at the time.
Blake never went back to the streets.
Blake will perform in the 7th Street Underground on Friday, Nov. 14 at 9 p.m.
Blake has been in many movies and acted a few times on the TV show “Martin.” He is most known for his stand-up on Comedy Central’s “Premium Blend.” Blake has also been in many shows for the Hispanic community because he speaks Spanish.
Blake considers himself a “universal” comedian because he likes to joke about many different topics. Blake’s favorite thing to joke about are animals and his kids. “I’ve learned a lot from watching my boy and girl,” he said. “Girls get things faster. I like to joke about that.”
Blake said he has learned a lot from comedy. “You need to put God first,” Blake said. “Understand that it [comedy] is a craft. Be true to yourself first. Put love in it.” Blake feels that his years in comedy were worth it. Blake said he was once in a barber shop in South Carolina and started joking about a man in the shop. After Blake quit talking about the guy, another man came up to him and asked him to give him a hug. The man said he had not laughed in three months because his son had been in the burn unit there for those months. The man said for the first time since his son had been in the unit, he laughed. Blake made him laugh.
“You have to express your passion through your work,” Blake said. “It makes it worth it.”

Joy in the book of Phillippians
Joy and rejoicing is a particular theme in the book of Philippians. Let’s have a look at what Paul says there:
- 1:4: Paul prays with joy for the Philippian Christians, because of their partnership with him in the gospel.
- 1:18: Paul rejoices in the fact that the gospel is being proclaimed.
- 1:25: Paul says that he will remain (i.e. live and not die) so that he can “continue with all of you for your progress and joy in the faith.” Paul wants these Christians to grow in joy.
- 2:2: Paul wants the Philippians to “complete his joy” by being united together.
- 2:17-18: Even if Paul is facing death, he is “glad and rejoice[s] with them all.” In a similar way, Paul says that the Philippians should “be glad and rejoice with [him]” as he faces possible death.
- 2:28-29: Paul is eager to send Epaphroditus back to the Philippians, that they may rejoice at seeing him again. So he tells them to receive him with “all joy”.
- 3:1: Paul tells the Philippians to “rejoice in the Lord”. In other words to rejoice is a command!
- 4:1: Paul says that the Philippians church is his “joy and his crown”, that is, this church brings Paul joy.
- 4:4: Again, Paul commands the Philippians to rejoice: “Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice.”
- 4:10: The Philippians church showed Paul concern when we was in need, and this led Paul to “rejoice in the Lord greatly”.
In conclusion, joy ultimately comes from being in a right relationship with God through the Lord Jesus Christ. But it also comes from seeing the gospel being proclaimed. Seeing other Christians growing in the Lord and faithfully serving him.
Difference between joy and happiness
We also often tend to think of joy and happiness as the same thing, but they’re not. For example, the apostle Paul has joy even in the midst of sufferings:
“In all our affliction, I am overflowing with joy” (2 Corinthians 7:4), whereas it would be hard to say that someone is happy in the midst of hardships.
Ultimately joy is part of the fruit of the spirit:
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law” (Galatians 5:22-23, ESV).
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law” (Galatians 5:22-23, ESV).
Where do I find joy?
We often try to find joy in many different areas of life; relationships, work, money, etc.
However, true joy cannot be found in any of these
places – rather it can only be found
in a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Durban: 4th Annual 5KM Stop Human Trafficking Awareness Family Walk
Durban friends to join and contribute. Please see details below...
Human trafficking
is one of the fastest growing crimes in the world and it is now tied with the
illegal arms industry as the second largest international criminal enterprise,
after the illegal drug trade. The International Labor Organization estimates
that there are currently at least 27 million adults and children in forced labor,
or commercial sexual servitude worldwide. Human Trafficking generates over 410
Billion Rands a year!
South Africa has
been a victim of this heinous crime for many years. The lives of citizens are
at risk as the market for stolen body organs has recently ascended greatly.
Unfortunately a lot
of people in our communities see Human Trafficking a myth that only haunts extremely
poor developing countries and not South Africa. Umgeni Community Empowerment Centre would like to invite you to
partner with us and be part of the solution by helping us to raise awareness
and raise funds for Shiloh House Crisis
Centre for victims of domestic violence – and trafficked victims.
On the 23rd
of September 2017, we are hosting our 4th
Annual Stop Human Trafficking 5km Awareness Walk. This spectacular
educational and entertaining day will be held at The Green Hub, Blue Lagoon, Durban
at 8:30am to 14:00pm.
For the past 3 years, UCEC
has successfully held an Annual Stop Human Trafficking 5km Awareness Walk. The
aim of this walk is to raise as much awareness as possible on Human Trafficking
and also to help raise funds for Shiloh House for abused women and children and
Trafficked victims. Organising our previous Awareness walks, and other
projects, we have partnered with, Oil Tanking GC, SA Home loans, 3C Technology,
We Are Durban, KZN Slots, Springbok legend, Andre Joubert who added his opinion to support campaign, saying “If you think Human Trafficking does not happen in South Africa, think
again”
We have also partnered with
Sharks Rugby icon, Tera Mtembu. We have also worked with Dr Albu van Eeden,
expert in Child pornography the founder of Doctors for Life. This year, we have
invited Human Trafficking expert and author Dr Monique Emser, as one of our
guest speakers. We have also been recently joined by reigning Miss Junior South
Africa 2017, Simara Moodley to take
a stand against Human Trafficking. Special guest at the walk is Patrick Lambie.
Our Annual Walk always receives a lot of media coverage from Newspapers,
Radio Stations and TV channels such as SABC News and ETV. The coverage includes
a number of radio interviews and News Paper articles. The overall media coverage is worth R3 Million of Advertising
Value Equivalency.
This year, we have hired a well established
PR company handling the media liaising pre, during and post event. This PR Company
has handled big campaign and we are confident that this year
our walk will escalate to a much higher level and make a bigger impact.
